I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers and also obtained a Certificate In Canine Studies through the Northwest School of Canine Studies.
In addition to offering one-on-one training, I have taught manners and puppy socialization classes at Four Paw Sports Center, worked in private practice veterinary care, on the veterinary and adoptions teams at Progressive Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), as a Behavior & Training Coordinator at Kitsap Humane Society, and I currently serve as an Animal Care Officer at the Seattle Animal Shelter where I am responsible for supporting dogs with challenging behavioral issues every day.
Fostering opportunities to be in community with other training and behavior professionals, and making learning and continuing education a priority is important to me—it keeps me both informed and inspired.
But what sets me apart from a lot of folks drawn to working with animals is a genuine passion for their people as well. I’m as excited to support you in having a harmonious and joyful existance with your dog as I am to support your dog’s behavioral and training needs. I know what love animals bring into our lives and it is that human-animal bond that motivates and guides me in my work as a trainer and animal welfare professional.
